Patrick has been in the industry since 2008 by starting out installing, servicing and selling equipment out of a retail store. Him and Evan, who are high school sweethearts, started out in the industry at the same time and worked hard to create a name for themselves by showing up on time and being responsive. It worked! Patrick bought the company in 2016 and has continued to grow the business with Evan. He loves what he does and enjoys the industry that we are in because we get to operate a company that helps people increase their quality of life.
In his spare time, he loves to hang out with his family, mountain bike, snowboard, access the backcountry and generally shred the grar!

Bio:
Evan graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2005. He also holds certificates in Active Health and Nutrition. He has been working at Macdonald’s Home Health Care as a Rehab Consultant and Sales Manager since 2008 and has been instrumental in the success and growth of the company. Having transitioned into an Executive Leadership role, Evan remains focused on creating great client outcomes and cementing Macdonald’s reputation as an industry leader.
In his spare time, Evan enjoys camping with his wife and two children. He is also very involved with youth athletics as a volleyball coach and Director of one of the largest volleyball clubs in BC.
What do you love about your job/role at Macdonald’s?:
I love that we get to do something every day to positively impact the lives of the people we work with!

Scott Cooke

Bio:
Professionally, my 20 year career has been split between commercial banking and home health care financial leadership. Shortly after Y2K, I began my professional career as a commercial banking with RBC and in 2005 moved over to Vancity continuing my commercial banking career. In the Credit Crunch of 2008, I left commercial banking to lead the finances of group of companies in the long term care & home health care field. Fast forward to the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 and my career path has landed me with Macdonald’s Home Health Care. With nearly 20 years of commercial finance experience including 11 years in home health I am confident my knowledge and experience will help steward MHHC’s growth moving forward.
On a personal note, my wife and I have three active boys and a dog so there is always lots going on at home. In my spare time, I enjoy getting outside running, biking and swimming in an effort to be fit, calm and keep up with them.
What do you love about your job/role at Macdonald’s?:
After meeting the team I knew I was joining a fund hard working group and that excites me. Additionally, I take pride in knowing that the products and services we provide make a positive difference in peoples lives.

Nathan Deacon

Bio:
Nathan looks after our largest business function, comprising of Service, Customer Service & Administration, Marketing, IT and occasionally oversights People & Performance. He is an experienced operations leader, with a background in engineering, systems management and customer management. His career began as a field service technician in his homeland of New Zealand, and has progressed into managing customer service, service and warehouse departments, expanding business into new markets and leading regional business operations. Nathan’s technical and team management skills allows him to relate well to customers, frontline staff, whilst keeping a helicopter view on wider business strategies. His experience also extends into budget and sales management, which rounds him out as a “jack-of-all-trades” leader. As the key steward of Macdonald’s base operating system, Nathan wears many hats at our company! He is educated at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
What do you love about your job/role at Macdonald’s?:
My role at Macdonald’s is so varied, and I am constantly being challenged. It is a professionally satisfying experience, as the role connects breadth and depth. Being part of the Executive Leadership Team has allowed me to contribute my strategic mind whilst seeing those strategies unravel in the day to day operations of the business. The culture is inviting and inclusive, which of course is a bonus!

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland I moved to Vancouver in 2018 to start a new adventure, tempted by beautiful scenery and a sunny summer! I have worked in the tourism and events industry for the past ten years and love to explore new cities and cuisines. In my free time I am usually exploring new parts of B.C. and enjoy camping, diving skiing and hiking.

Ross Brydges

Kristy Strocher
Seating and Mobility Training Facilitator
Kristy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2001. After graduation, she was an exercise rehabilitation therapist working primarily with elderly clients and clients with traumatic brain injuries. Kristy is now in her 10th year as a mobility equipment specialist and is widely known in the industry as the, “Jill of all trades”. Her top priority is to ensure her clients, their families, caregivers and health care professionals work together to find the most appropriate equipment for each person’s individual needs. She is a natural team leader and has a passion for training and education which she shares with everyone involved in the prescription, fitting, demonstration and delivery of equipment. Outside of work, Kristy enjoys creating mystery events, riding her motorcycle, composing music, entertaining friends with her love of culinary adventures, and a day is not complete without doting over her cat, Georgia.

Kim McMane
Seating and Mobility Sales - Comedic Relief
Kim graduated as a BHKIN from UBC in 2007 and since then has gained plenty of experience. She joins our team with 20 years of experience working in the home health care industry and nearly 10 years of experience working in the seating and mobility field. Kim is a skilled Macgyver and loves to create unique solutions while working in the community and facilities and helping people to reach their comfort and mobility goals.
On the weekends Kim spends her time playing with cars, trains and playdough, and chasing after her daughter Penny. She’s always dreaming of the great outdoors, planning the next vacation, and doing all kinds of crafts.

Andrew Kucher
Seating and Mobility Sales - Cabbage Lover
Andrew made the move from Winnipeg to beautiful British Columbia to join the team at Macdonald’s and we’re lucky to have him! He offers over 5 years’ experience in the home health and mobility equipment industry. He has extensive knowledge working with all types of medical equipment including power equipment and custom seating. With great attention to detail and a strong work ethic, Andrew brings enthusiasm and passion to the team.
In his spare time Andrew enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and hockey along with working on cars. On weekends, he can be found enjoying the local mountains and exploring the amazing lakes and hiking trails in and around the lower mainland.

Graham Denison

Graham joined our team in early 2019 and is working as our Equipment Specialist. He came to us with 8 years of experience in the Health Care and Mobility Equipment Industry and 3 years experience as an Advanced Technician. Graham’s extensive knowledge of health equipment, technical aptitude, and exceptional customer service has been a great addition to our team. His work ethic is unparalleled, and he is always willing to go above and beyond for our clients.
Outside of work, Graham loves to work and ride his motorcycle, play volleyball and slo-pitch, catch up with his friends on weekends, and travel whenever he can.

Carlo Fontana

Pat McClelland

Pat joined our team in 2017. He graduated from BCIT from their automotive collision repair program and started working in the automotive industry. He wanted a change and found the Medical Equipment industry interesting and a new challenge awaited him.
His parents immigrated from Norther Ireland. Pat was born in the lower mainland and grew up in White Rock.

Yanfan Chung

Yanfan was born on the beautiful island of Mauritius located in the Indian Ocean and is highly bi-lingual. He holds a Master degree in Business Law from Toulouse University of Social Sciences as well as a degree in Business Administration from Toulouse Business School; France. Prior to joining Macdonalds, he has spent seventeen years with Chevron in East Africa and Canada in various regional retail sales management, project management. property management and analytical positions as well as 4 years with Shoppers Home Health Care as Sales Coordinator and Service Manager. Due to his extensive business exposure, he brings a wealth of experience to our growing organization.

Sir Frankie Brown Eyes the 1st
Chief Barketing Officer
As the chief barketing officer, Frankie (for short), focuses most of his time on barking at the most inappropriate of times. Usually, this takes place when Evan is on a very important phone call. This is Frankie’s first job and at just 2 old he is doing well within his job description. Between barking and extra long naps, he lacks the time it takes to become a more productive employee but he’s extremely cute so we are going to keep him around.

Bob Tam

Bob has been a part of the Customer Service Team at Macdondalds Home Health Care since Oct 2018.
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, conversational Japanese (Bob also holds a (TEFL Certificate) – Teaching English for Foreign Learners from Vancouver Community College). Bob is also a certified CASI Level 2 and Level 1 Freestyle Snowboarding Coach. If he’s not commuting daily on his electric bike to work, he’ll be spending time with his family including 2 young boys who keeps him young, fresh and active.

Dee Morse
Head Technician - Everything Guy
Dee has been in the industry since 2013 where he worked for the Red Cross and Harding Medical in Halifax. He decided to make the trek across the country to beautiful BC. Dee has worked in different positions from a research assistant at a university to a forklift operator at a lumber yard. In his spare time, he really likes to cook while listening to political podcasts whilst enjoying a beer. Macdonald’s is extremely happy to have Dee as our first employee at the Burnaby location. Dee’s role will grow as that location grows and his positive outlook and problem-solving abilities are going to be a huge asset to our company.
