Macdonald’s Prescriptions continues to grow their Home Health Care division because of the vision and strong roots that were planted more than 85 years ago by two brothers, Austin and Vans Macdonald. Throughout the years, we have developed and maintained a variety of outstanding services to meet the needs of patients and health care professionals.

Patrick Zuccaro

Ninja - Co-Founder

Patrick came to Macdonald’s Home Health Care with a sales background in the pharmaceutical industry where he sold chemicals to compounding pharmacies. Patrick started at Macdonald’s Home Health Care as a sales rep in August of 2009 and since then has developed the medical equipment side of the business to a level that is well known throughout the city for their prompt service and stellar knowledge. Patrick enjoys traveling to exotic places with his family and is also an avid mountain biker. You can usually find him at the Whistler Bike Park, North Shore Mountains or near his family cabin on the Sunshine Coast.

Evan Kellett

Not a Ninja - Co-Founder

Evan graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2005. He also holds certificates in Active Health and Nutrition. He has been working at Macdonald’s Home Health Care as a Rehab Consultant and Sales Manager since 2008 and has been instrumental in the success of the Rehab Department. Evan currently holds a position on the BC Home Medical Equipment Dealers Association Board of Directors.

In his spare time, Evan enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and daughter. He is also very involved with youth athletics as a volleyball coach at a local high school and helps to run one of the biggest girls volleyball clubs in BC.

Dave Robens

VP - Business Evolution

Dave came to Macdonald’s when asked by Patrick and Evan to help develop a culture to ensure that Macdonald’s is the best home health company to work for in the industry. Dave has been practicing as an occupational therapist for the last eight years with a focus on geriatrics. More recently, Dave has ventured into the mental health field and developed a group coaching program to help people realize their potential and understand their role in their own psychological well being. These skills alongside a ritual of wearing tight pants makes Dave a perfect match for Macdonald’s Home Health Care. Outside of work Dave runs personal development groups, continues to practice OT with seniors, loves his wife, Tara, and their two amazing children, Molly & Zev. He enjoys soccer, travel, camping, and minimizing screen time for all who are willing to engage with the outside world.

Heather Thornburn

Office Coordinator - Multi Tasker

Heather joined Macdonald’s Home Health Care in October 2009, trading the slightly slower pace of Victoria for the fast-paced, vibrant life of Vancouver, and she has fully embraced life here on the mainland. With over 12 years of experience in the Home Health Care industry, she has now taken on the role of Coordinator/CSR at our West 6th location, and is enjoying sinking her teeth into this opportunity.


Working behind the scenes handling purchasing, billing, as well as customer service, she keeps things running smoothly and does her best to keep everything and everyone on-track. Heather does this – and more – while making sure to keep a smile on hers and everyone else’s faces, and making it her personal mission to make at least one person laugh every day.

Eduardo Jimenez

Service Coordinator

Eduardo started at Macdonald’s Home Health Care in 2012 as a repair and mobility technician. He came to us with a degree in electonics engineering which has been a huge asset and has transferred well to his work with powered mobility devices. Eduardo has two beautiful children, Valeria and Angel.

On weekends you can find him spending time with his kids, driving to Lilloet to visit his family, drinking Coronas with his sombrero on, eating tacos and playing Halo.

Ross Brydges

Seating and Mobility Sales

Ross Brydges, splits his time between Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast. He brings a wealth of experience to our team:

  • Over 8 years of industry experience
  • A strong technical background with previous experience in the custom motorcycle world
  • Knowledgeable with all mobility and seating equipment, as well as lift and lift installs (ceiling mounted, stairlift, and platform)
  • Research and development experience with EMP mattresses
  • Volunteer experience at Mason Bluff Farms as a Special Needs Therapy horseback riding assistant

In his spare time Ross enjoys hiking and camping in our local mountains, kiteboarding, soccer, and long chopper rides. Best of all…… Ross is a Sunshine Coast resident!

Kristy Strocher

Seating and Mobility Training Facilitator

Kristy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2001.  After graduation, she was an exercise rehabilitation therapist working primarily with elderly clients and clients with traumatic brain injuries.  Kristy is now in her 10th year as a mobility equipment specialist and is widely known in the industry as the, “Jill of all trades”.   Her top priority is to ensure her clients, their families, caregivers and health care professionals work together to find the most appropriate equipment for each person’s individual needs.  She is a natural team leader and has a passion for training and education which she shares with everyone involved in the prescription, fitting, demonstration and delivery of equipment.  Outside of work, Kristy enjoys creating mystery events, riding her motorcycle, composing music, entertaining friends with her love of culinary adventures, and a day is not complete without doting over her cat, Georgia.

Kim McMane

Seating and Mobility Sales

Kim graduated as a BHKIN from UBC in 2007 and since then has gained plenty of experience. She joins our team with 20 years of experience working in the home health care industry and nearly 10 years of experience working in the seating and mobility field. Kim is a skilled Macgyver and loves to create unique solutions while working in the community and facilities and helping people to reach their comfort and mobility goals.

On the weekends Kim spends her time playing with cars, trains and playdough, and chasing after her daughter Penny. She’s always dreaming of the great outdoors, planning the next vacation, and doing all kinds of crafts.

Andrew Kucher

Seating and Mobility Sales

Andrew made the move from Winnipeg to beautiful British Columbia to join the team at Macdonald’s and we’re lucky to have him! He offers over 5 years’ experience in the home health and mobility equipment industry. He has extensive knowledge working with all types of medical equipment including power equipment and custom seating. With great attention to detail and a strong work ethic, Andrew brings enthusiasm and passion to the team.


In his spare time Andrew enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and hockey along with working on cars. On weekends,  he can be found enjoying the local mountains and exploring the amazing lakes and hiking trails in and around the lower mainland.

Vincent Menendez

Seating and Mobility Sales Assistant

Barry is currently our set up guru. He helps the company by preparing all of the equipment requests for our sales reps.

Barry is from the Philippines and graduated from Laguna State Polytechnic University with a minor in Business Admin and major in Agricultural Business management.

He has experience working for a multinational logistic company in the Philippines as a transport staff, then was promoted to warehouse coordinator/systems controller for 3 years. He came to Canada in 20112 and worked as a material handler in an oil field in Alberta.

On his spare time he likes playing badminton, basketball, running, playing the drums, and skateboarding.

Carlo Fontana

Installer AKA Italian Stallion

Carlo AKA the Italian Stallion has been working with us for 10 years and is the backbone of our department. He always has a smile on his face and has an extremely strong work ethic – hence the nickname. Carlo grew up in Vancouver and we are extremely happy to have had him working with us for so long.

Carlo enjoys being Italian, eating Italian food, and watching the Vancouver Canucks.

Dan Walters

Technician Extraordinaire

Dan joined our team early 2016 and we are happy to have him. He has 13 years experience as a technician in the industry and his wealth of knowledge is a huge asset to our team. Dan can be found hiking around lakes and playing loud rock and roll music in his spare time.

Pat McClelland

Technician Extraordinaire

Pat joined our team in 2017. He graduated from BCIT from their automotive collision repair program and started working in the automotive industry. He wanted a change and found the Medical Equipment industry interesting and a new challenge awaited him.

His parents immigrated from Norther Ireland. Pat was born in the lower mainland and grew up in White Rock.

Pat enjoys reading and collecting comic books, building lego, traveling, hiking in North Van, and eating cheesecake. yummy….

Yanfan Chung

Sales Coordinator

Yanfan was born on the beautiful island of Mauritius located in the Indian Ocean and is highly bi-lingual. He holds a Master degree in Business Law from Toulouse University of Social Sciences as well as a degree in Business Administration from Toulouse Business School; France. Prior to joining Macdonalds, he has spent seventeen years with Chevron in East Africa and Canada in various regional retail sales management, project management. property management and analytical positions as well as 4 years with Shoppers Home Health Care as Sales Coordinator and Service Manager. Due to his extensive business exposure, he brings a wealth of experience to our growing organization.

He enjoys jogging and swimming during the weekend as well as spending quality time with his two children and spouse. His secret weapon …he is fond of french pastries like croissants, pain au chocolat, pain au raisin, eclair etc the list is so long…

Alan Brown

Warehouse Technician

Alan joined the Macdonald’s team with six years experience in the industry. Previously he had a role as a first aid attendant for a large company. He is the first person to take on the warehouse technician role and has become an instrumental part of the team and the flow of the business. Alan is one of the few people who was born and raised in Vancouver. Outside of work, Alan enjoys walks down by the beaches of Vancouver, skiing up at Cypress in the winter and participating in the Vancouver Sun Run in the Spring. He loves brussel sprouts and hot spicy foods.

Sir Frankie Brown Eyes the 1st

Chief Barketing Officer

As the chief barketing officer, Frankie (for short), focuses most of his time on barking at the most inappropriate of times. Usually, this takes place when Evan is on a very important phone call. This is Frankie’s first job and at just 2  old he is doing well within his job description. Between barking and extra long naps, he lacks the time it takes to become a more productive employee but he’s extremely cute so we are going to keep him around.


James Cooper

General Manager

James has joined the Macdonald’s Team as a part owner and general manager of our new location. James has been in the industry for over a decade and is a great addition to our growing team. He brings the same three things to our team that has made us successful. Responsive, Timely, and Reliable!
