Purpose: To promote sales of medical equipment and services to health care
professionals, institutions and individuals by providing information, advice,
counsel and instruction on the company’s products and services.
Description:
• Provide prompt, knowledgeable and professional customer service to
clients. Continue to develop and increase knowledge on products that
we market, service and sell.
• Actively promote products/services to effectively maximize sales,
profitability and client relations but remembering the most suitable features
of products for the individual’s disability needs.
• Identify and understand all third party funding agencies policies and
funding procedures.
• Work in a team environment and be a team player.
• Maintain and use a time management system.
• Provide information on new or existing products and services.
• Provide product in servicing and demonstrations.
• Prepare quotations and make presentations as deemed appropriate by the
company.
• Provide consultative services to health care individuals and groups on the
types and application of equipment and services.
• Attend workshop/education sessions to ensure product knowledge is
current.
• Attend conferences and exhibits to promote the company’s products and
services and to provide information to interested parties.
• Assess homes and or facilities for equipment as required.
• Be accountable for all stock equipment that is on loan and for the
maintenance and security of equipment used for demonstration.
• Maintain on-going communication with the Store Manager to obtain
financial approval for specific types of contractual arrangements.
• Open and maintain lines of communication with various health care
organizations, government agencies and individuals to provide
Experience:
• Proven consultative skills to provide information, advice and guidance to
health care professionals on products and services.
• A knowledge of various disabilities and their functional limitation.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Good communication skills to make presentations, instruct individuals and
groups on the use, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
• The ability to develop and maintain client contacts.
• Analytical skills to assess the best product for the individual need.
• Ability to Exercise Sound Judgement in:
• Identifying health care professionals and organizations to call on and
determining the most appropriate method of providing product/service
information, i.e., demonstrations, brochures, instructional presentations
etc.
• Identifying most suitable features of products for individual disability needs
and recommending same.
