In 1996 Medical Supplies were expanded into a dedicated Home Health Care department, adding 2000 square feet to our Fairmont Medical Building location. Macdonald’s Home Healthcare continues to provide BC’s best service in Compression and Lymphedema Therapy, along with Wound Care, Ambulatory Aids, Aids to Daily Living, Ostomy Care, and most recently Mastectomy Care Services. In 2011, Home Healthcare expanded again to add a Rehab Equipment Division and Service/Repair facility located on West 6th Avenue.

Graduated with a degree in pharmacy from UBC in 1974. Vince has been employed at Macdonald’s Prescriptions since 1974. In 1985 he purchased the business and has managed and continues to operate the business. He has enjoyed the professional aspect of working at Macdonald’s Prescriptions and is a specialist in compounding and chemicals.
Born in Italy and raised in Vancouver, Vince is happily married and has three grown children.
Has been working in the pharmacy industry since 1985 and graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UBC in 1993. He started working at Macdonald’s Prescriptions in 1991. Jeff is a co-owner and the Pharmacy Manager at the Fairmont Medical Building. As a compounding specialist, Jeff is able to provide specialty pharmaceutics that are unavailable elsewhere, such as compound creams, sterile eye and injection preparations.
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UBC in 2006. Stephanie started working at Macdonald’s Prescriptions as a student and upon completion of licensure in 2006, was hired as a pharmacist. She is an excellent staff pharmacist, who along with taking care of walk-in patients and clients is responsible for patients who make use of our compliance packaging service. She is also involved in working with doctors to dispense and deliver injectable anti-psychotics to respective psychiatric clinics in Metro Vancouver. Stephanie is licensed to administer injections. Having knowledge of natural hormone replacement therapy, Stephanie is one of the few pharmacists in Canada who has expertise with the Wiley Protocol program.
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UBC in 2007. After working a few years as a pharmacist in Oliver, Dan joined the pharmacy team at MacDonald’s Prescriptions in January 2010. Dan has a calm demeanor that has endeared him to our patients almost instantly. His dedication to the profession, knowledge of pharmaceuticals and good common sense has proved to be an asset to the team at MacDonald’s Prescriptions. As an example, Dan has worked closely with physicians from BC Cancer Agency and Vancouver General Hospital in providing care for palliative care patients suffering with cancer pain. Dan is married and he and his wife are excited to welcome a new addition to their family in October 2012.
Graduated with a degree in Pharmacy in 1975 from UBC. Ben joined the Macdonald’s Prescriptions team in 1992. Ben feels that Macdonald’s Prescriptions provides a friendly environment that allows him to be an important part of the renal team serving those registered with the BC Provincial Renal Agency. Ben works closely with the BCPRA and provides patients all across British Columbia with Erythropoietin Hormone Replacement Therapy. Ben’s proficiency in his native Chinese language has enabled him to help our Oriental clients tremendously in their pharmaceutical care.
Immigrated to Canada from her native Croatia where she graduated in 1980 and worked as a licensed pharmacist for 14 years. We were very fortunate that Danka came knocking on our door looking for employment as a pharmacy assistant. Having experience in compounding, Danka quickly became our main compounder in our compounding lab. After obtaining her pharmacy license in 2000, Danka was transferred to work as a pharmacist in our Renal Pharmacy. During the last 10 years, Danka has become one of the most knowledgeable renal pharmacists in British Columbia. Her knowledge of renal disease and medication has made Macdonald’s Prescriptions a renal centre in B.C. Her dedication to her patients is second to none and the appreciation shown to her by her patients and peers prove that.
Danka is married. She and her husband have one grown daughter.
Joined our pharmacy team in the Renal Pharmacy in January of 2011 after graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UBC in 2010 as a mature student. Along with his pharmacy training, this has enabled him to help our patients with empathy and patience. Dan feels extremely fortunate to be working with such a dedicated team at Macdonald’s Prescriptions and particularly enjoys attending evening and weekend seminars and symposiums to further enhance his clinical knowledge and skills in his community practice. In addition to his pharmaceutical expertise, Dan with his wife Mary Ann, both enjoy experiencing Vancouver’s culinary diversity and have many great recommendations on the city’s best eats!
